Share your transit story and win free bus fare for a year

Lawrence Transit System once again invites bus riders to share their stories about using public transportation. The ‘Share Your Story’ contest offers a chance to win a year of free bus fare for the first place winner.
“We started this contest last year as a way to celebrate our 15-year anniversary,” said Robert Nugent, transit administrator. “We heard so many important stories about how public transit changes people’s lives, so we decided to make it an annual event.”
The online entry form is available here. Paper forms can be picked up and dropped off at the Lawrence Transit administrative office at 933 New Hampshire from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday. They can also be returned by mail to Lawrence Transit, P.O. Box 708, Lawrence, KS 66044.
The deadline for entry is December 12, 2016. First prize for the contest is 12 months free bus fare. Second prize is 6 months free bus fare, and third prize is 3 months free bus fare.
Anyone who rides the Lawrence Transit System in Lawrence is encouraged to enter. Both fixed-route and paratransit riders are eligible to win. Entries will be judged by a five person panel who will determine the winners.
Winners will be recognized on the Lawrence Transit website, and at a City Commission meeting in January 2017.
