May 2020 Employee of the Month

June 12, 2020

It takes a lot of hard work to keep a transit system running smoothly, day after day. Members of the team all contribute in their unique role, from office staff, reservationists, and dispatchers to bus drivers, supervisors, utility workers, and management. This month, one employee receives special recognition.

“For most of us at First Transit, the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted service and work. For Aaron, it gave him a chance to shine. Aaron has always been a very hard worker, but now on top of the normal nightly cleaning, he is responsible for the additional disinfecting procedures to ensure all the buses are safe for the operators and passengers. Aaron takes his job seriously, and it shows every day. He is a valued member of the leadership team at First Transit – Lawrence.”
