I’m homeless. [My typical day is] pretty much just survive, survive, survive. I’m putting a lot more effort towards getting employed though, and that’s my next step. Go to the temp agency and see if they got anything open.
I’ve actually been stuck out in Topeka for the last couple weeks, so that’s made me even way more grateful for Lawrence. [My favorite thing about Lawrence,] actually it’s the bus system. I mean I was literally just bragging about it before I got on the bus to the guy that cut my hair. I don’t have to walk more than a couple blocks, and it’s free. The three other cities I’ve lived in, I’ve had to walk half a mile and it’s only every hour, and I had to pay two bucks, so that’s a pretty big difference.
