Greyhound to serve Central Station starting Monday, March 25
The Intercity Bus Service Greyhound will be moving service locations from the 7th and Vermont location to the new Central Station at 2315 Bob Billings Pkwy. Greyhound provides service to Lawrence three times a day on its route between Topeka and Kansas City, and connects to thousands of cities across the country.
The decision was made during the March 19th City Commission Meeting in order to make easier connections between local and regional bus services. For ease of mobility between Downtown Lawrence and the Central Station location, please take Route 4. At Central Station, the Greyhound bus will pick up and drop off in the regional bus bay area, located just north of the Lawrence Transit bus bays.
Lawrence Transit is unable to make change or print tickets. Instead, please:
- Order online with credit card and print your ticket.
- Order online and pay with cash at ACE Cash Express, 601 Kasold Dr, Ste C104.
- Order from Greyhound at 1-800-231-2222, then pay with cash at ACE Cash Express.
Riders are able to wait for the Greyhound bus inside of Central Station during operating hours, and they can sit at the bus shelters on the platform outside of operating hours. Operating hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday – Friday and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. There is no public parking at Central Station, but those with luggage may be dropped off or picked up in the 15-minute parking zone accessible from the Bob Billings Pkwy entrance.
