Summer is almost here, and all the fun activities for kids are about to begin. But how do they get there? Lawrence Transit offers a practical solution for a great price!

The Student Summer Bus Pass is a great way for K-12 kids to get to the pool, community centers, parks, the library and shopping. For only $10, the Student Summer Bus Pass is good for unlimited rides in June, July and August.

Local grocery stores will be selling the Student Summer Bus Passes this year, plus City Hall, both Aquatic Centers and all Community Centers in Lawrence:

Starting May 1

• Dillons stores
• Hy-Vee stores
• The Merc
• City Hall
• Community Building
• East Lawrence Rec Center
• Holcom Rec Center
• Rock Chalk Park

Starting May 23

• Indoor Aquatic Center

Starting May 28

• Outdoor Aquatic Center

“Kids and parents love the independence that the Student Summer Bus Pass provides,” said Bob Nugent, Transit Administrator. “The fact that these students can learn how to get around Lawrence and navigate the bus system is a skill that they can use in the future.”
